Who we are. This policy is issued jointly by two organizations that work together in one ministry and share one sign-in (Mary Banks ID) and one assistant (Mary):
Each organization is responsible for the sites it operates. Because you use one account across all of them, information moves between the two as this policy describes, and both are bound by it. "We" and "us" below means whichever organization operates the site you are using, together with the other where your information is shared. You can reach both at info@mbmonline.global.
This policy explains what personal information we collect across all of our sites, why, and the choices you have.
Your account. When you create a Mary Banks ID we store your name, email address, preferred language, the country you tell us, and your confirmation that you are 13 or older. Sign-in is provided by our own identity service (id.mbmonline.global); your password is held only there, as a protected hash, never by the apps themselves. If you sign in to the Bible Teacher app with Google, Google tells us your name and email address.
Your learning. On the Global Training Center: the courses you enroll in, lessons and videos you complete, quiz answers and scores, certificates, your Growth Path, and your answers to the spiritual evaluation. Answers you give to questions about your personal character and struggles are confidential: they are read only by you and, where you have a mentor, your mentor, and they are never used by Mary's memory or for marketing.
Your purchases. In the Faith Library and the Bible Teacher app: what you buy or subscribe to, your order history, and your billing details. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
Your conversations with Mary. What you write to Mary, her replies, the page you were on when you asked, and a small set of notes Mary keeps to help you next time (for example, your goals or what you are studying). Mary never notes struggles, confessions, health, family, money or character matters. You can read and delete her notes at any time from the "What Mary knows about me" screen inside the chat.
Community activity. Forum posts, live-session registrations, mentor requests and messages you send through our sites.
Technical information. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and when, and cookies described in our Cookie Policy. Some sites use privacy-respecting usage statistics (Vercel Analytics) and error monitoring (Sentry) so we can keep them working.
Where the law asks for a legal basis: providing the service you requested, our legitimate interest in running and improving a ministry that serves you well, your consent for personalization and analytics cookies, and legal obligation for payment records.
Mary is an AI assistant. Your messages, the relevant course material, and the notes she keeps about you are sent to an AI model provider (currently Anthropic's Claude, through OpenRouter) to generate her replies, and stored in our database so your history follows you. Mary's suggestions are advice; decisions such as your Growth Path are always yours, and no decision with legal or similar effect is made about you automatically.
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers who work for us and are bound to protect it: hosting and databases (Vercel, Railway, Neon, Amazon Web Services), the church website platform (ChurchApps, which powers the Bible Teachers International church sites), email delivery (Amazon SES), payments (Stripe), sign-in with Google where you choose it, video sessions (Zoom), AI processing (OpenRouter and Anthropic), search indexing (Pinecone), analytics and monitoring (Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics on the church sites, Sentry). Within the ministry, your mentor can see your learning record on the Global Training Center. Administrators see accounts and course records to run the school; they are never shown Mary's personal notes or summary about you. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect people from harm.
Our systems are hosted in the United States. We keep your account and learning records for as long as you have an account, and certificates and purchase records for as long as the law or our accreditation requires. Mary's conversation history stays until you delete it. Technical activity records are kept for 90 days. When you close your account we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.
Accounts are for people 13 and older. Every sign-up asks you to confirm this, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian may hold the account and take part with a younger child. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and a single identity service with verified email addresses. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
We will post changes here with a new date and, for material changes, tell you inside our sites.
